The Youth Voices Project (YVP) is an advocate for SOMALI youth participation in city planning. The purpose of YVP is to expand the discussion on the positive roles SOMALI youths can play in city planning when teamed with planners and policy makers. Presently, most planning practices have disregarded the SOMALI youth, even though there is a growing body of research that illustrates how and why they should be included.
YVP holds an annual scholarship award where we look for SOMALI YOUTHS in Somalia between 15 and 24 years old, to participate in a creative exercise where three chosen winners will each receive $500USD monetary prize. Please review the YVP Award for scholarship award details.
All proceeds go towards the Youth Voice Project
